Dear Abdullah,

I am happy to give you this feedback on the impact of the study undertaken by your team in our organisation in beginning 2008.

With the objective of identifying training needs for my officers team at Srikakulam Unit, you and Ms Deepti had spent an entire day at our factory, and conducted detailed interviews across a sample representing the entire cross section of our officers. Your report of 13th Jan 2008 not only highlighted the immediate training needs of our organisation, but went a step further and brought into focus various cultural and interpersonal relationship issues that were impacting the performance of the officers. Of particular interest to us was your insights into the the way the motivation levels of our officers at Levels I, II and III were being driven by different factors, and the personal impact the I as the Unit Head was making.

I am happy to tell you that we used your report as a framework and ran quite a few in-house as well as external training programs for our officers.

For example, as recommended by you, I commenced briefing my officers team regularly on Business Performance of our Unit; we got external faculty to give us training on computer applications; we got the Head of HR and human resources from a neighbouring company to give us a talk on Accident Prevention; we ran a program of Working in Teams, on Impact of Economic Scenario on our Business etc. I also regularly deputed my officers to visit our Parent Factory at Taloja.

Admittedly, the cultural shift and improvements in motivational levels is still going on, but the effectiveness of working of my officers team, and their attitude to taking responsibility has perceptibly gone up. In fact, some of them are actively seeking more and more responsibility.

Now that two years have passed, and I am sure your organisation has also grown and changed, I request you to consider if there is something new or something more that Conduira can do for us.

I look forward to hearing from you.
